Doug is a partner and co-founder of Langer & McLaughlin, LLP. His practice focuses on all types of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, financing, development, leasing, and construction/architect contracts. He represents a wide variety of clients, including developers, owners and operators, landlords, tenants, venturers, and lenders. His clients include local, national and international technology and biotechnology companies, private real estate investment groups, non-profit higher education institutions, and real estate entrepreneurs.
Prior to co-founding Langer & McLaughlin, LLP, Doug spent the first nine years of his legal career at large, downtown Boston law firms, first as an associate at Nutter, McClennen and Fish, LLP and later as an associate and then partner at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC.
Before entering the practice of law, Doug was a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, where her served as a Nuclear Propulsion Engineer aboard the USS South Carolina (CGN-37), and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for excellence in leadership.
